Our Mission
The Black Contractors Association of San Antonio (BCASA) is dedicated to empowering African American contractors and construction professionals by providing access to resources, training, networking opportunities, and government contracting pathways. We advocate for equitable participation in the construction industry and work to eliminate barriers that have historically limited the growth of minority-owned businesses in San Antonio and the surrounding region.
Our Vision
Our vision is a thriving, inclusive construction industry in San Antonio where African American contractors and businesses have equal access to opportunities, capital, and contracts. We envision a community where BCASA members are recognized leaders who shape the built environment of our city, create generational wealth, and inspire the next generation of Black construction professionals.
Our History
BCASA was founded by a group of dedicated African American contractors who recognized the need for a unified voice in San Antonio's construction industry. Faced with systemic barriers to government contracts, bonding, and financing, our founders came together to create an organization that would advocate for change and provide practical support to its members. Over the years, BCASA has grown into a respected association that has helped hundreds of contractors access city and county contracts, secure bonding assistance, and develop the skills needed to compete in today's marketplace. Our legacy is one of perseverance, community, and measurable impact — and we are just getting started.
